It is difficult to communicate how much fun these creatures can be,
but in these five pictures taken over the course of two minutes a little
insight may be gathered.
The reason for the fun was the arrival of the long over due G-sand (Pulverized
granite) pile.
This is a dual purpose element in our meadow:
1) For play...
2) For rolling around in to keep those valuable fleeces clean. There is
nothing like a good scratch too and G-sand dusts out of the fleece easily,
compared to mud or debris.
In this instant game created on the spot Sirrocco - our Suri - climbs to
the top of the sand pile and as a challenger approaches incautiously, Sirrocco
launches himself on the challenger. In this case he missed!
